FROM FATTORI & MONTANI TO THE FATTORI GROUP
From a century in the car market |
- 1947 : In 1947 Alfredo Fattori established the Fattori & Montani Company with the purpose to import and to sell motor cars in Italy such as Mini Morris e MG.
- 1970 : In 1970 the F&M starts to be the exclusive import and distributor in Italy of Toyota Motor cars building up a dealer network for the said territory.
- 1991 : Since January 1, with the change of the Jaguar trade line on the Italian market, and the consequent establishing of the Jaguar Italia SpA, the F&M firm did enter into a joint venture in the new company.
- 1993 : Toyota Japan decided to start directly the operations in Italy, and acquired the Italian dealer network from F&M.
- 1993 : F&M start to be the exclusive import and distributor in Italy of Lexus.
- 1994 : Jaguar Company decided to acquire the 100% control of the Company and bought F&M's shares.
- 1995 : F&M formed a joint venture (50%) with Daewoo Motors Corporation, started sales in Italy building up a new dealer network.
- 1997 : Daewoo Motors Corporation decided to acquire the 100% control of the Company and bought F&M's 50 % shares.
- 1998 : Lexus Japan decided to start directly the operations in Italy, and acquired the Italian dealer network from the F&M Group.
- 2002 : The F&M Group signed a contract for Daihatsu dealership in Rome.
- 2005 : GM changed the name of Daewoo brand in Chevrolet.
- 2006 : F&M started to develop a multibrand dealer network in Italy meanwhile is looking for a franchise for Italy.
